Our 1-bed/1-bath condo on the top floor (3rd), offers the best and most amazing views from Hale Kai O'Kihei condo and is perfect for two! (although can sleep 4). From the private lanai, sip your morning coffee or your evening cocktail, while being lulled by the soothing sounds of the ocean, enjoying tropical breezes, and viewing whales (in-season) or magical sunsets. Right out your door are the beautiful beachfront resort grounds, along with instant access to miles of sandy uncrowded beach (great for morning or evening strolls), swaying palm trees, and the beautiful Pacific. This unit is perfect for a couple, but can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests.
Especially for those summer months, we have installed an air conditioning system throughout the condo that puts cool air directly into the bedroom, in addition to the living areas. (That makes us special on Maui since many condo's only have a window air conditioner in the living room.) Now you can enjoy the balmy island breeze during the day, and sleep comfortably at night!
The bedroom is on the mauka side (the side opposite the beach) of the condo with a comfortably firm Cal-King bed, high thread count sheets, a Tommy Bahama quilt, ample closet and dresser storage, and an overhead fan. The living room also offers a separate AC, a TV, and an overhead fan. The kitchen features a new dishwasher and fridge, and is fully equipped for our guests to easily prepare delicious meals. The condo decor is "tasteful beachy", and features original art from both Maui and mainland artists. Depending on surf and weather conditions, you can enjoy stand-up-paddling in front of the condo complex, or windsurfing and kiteboarding nearby. HKOK's amenities include a pool, shuffleboard, lawn furniture, and gas grill barbecues. We provide two Tommy Bahama beach chairs for our guests (these are for our condo), beach towels, a beach bag, a cooler, and some beach games. Laundry facilities are conveniently located on the property.
The condo includes free wired and wireless high-speed (15meg) internet service. (This is NOT 'hotel service' internet with separate login screen every time you go online.) Our unit also features keyless entry, so no more worrying about keys!
Hale Kai O'Kihei offers the privacy and quiet of a residential street, but is within easy walking distance of a grocery store (Times Market), pharmacy (Long's Drugs), Azeka Shopping Centers, several great restaurants, a fitness center, Kihei Aquatic Center (lap swimming & water aerobics), scuba diving shop, scooter rentals, bank, and post office. Kihei Rent-A-Car is nearby and they offer shuttle service to and from the airport. Public transit is one block from the complex, and the condo is only a 10 minute drive to Wailea and a 20 minute drive to Kahului International Airport (OGG).
NO PETS. All units are rented as Transient Accommodations and not for residency

Maximum occupancy for KBR and HKOK units (one bedroom condo) is 4 people, per Hawaii law. Maximum occupancy for our HPH unit (one bedroom) is 3 people.
These condos are non-smoking (including on the lanai), per Hawaii law. Violators will be charged their full damage deposit and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Parties/Events are not allowed.
These condos are not child-proofed and toddlers are discouraged. By renting this condo, guests assume all liability and risk to their children, and agree to release Homeowner of all liability associated with using property.
Check-in and check-out times are necessary to allow our cleaning staff adequate time to clean the unit and do laundry to prepare for our next guests. Check-in time is 3pm. Check-out time is 11am.
Hawaii state regulations require us to obtain the names of all guests, including home addresses and contact phone numbers, for all rentals.

Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel after that point, they will not get a refund.
You may choose to purchase 3rd party travel insurance to alleviate the burden of unexpected cancellations. Some companies offering travel insurance include: AAA, CAA, and www.allianztravelinsurance.com.
Hurricane/Storm policy: No refunds will be given (unless the cancellation is 60 days or more prior to your stay).
ALL Rates are in US dollars.
We prefer a check or money order. (Bounced checks will incur a $30 charge.)
We can accept credit cards (using PayPal as intermediary), for an additional non-refundable fee of approximately 3% in the US and 4.5% for international guests (including Canada). The credit card fee is charged by PayPal, not us. (The exact amount of the extra fee will be quoted to you at the time of booking.)
Payment is subject to addition of Hawaii Taxes of 14.25% which will be itemized, unless the rate is advertised as "includes taxes".
$300 deposit is required within 7 days of reservation or reservation will be cancelled.
Full payment must be received 90 days prior to reserved arrival date or reservation may be cancelled.
A damage deposit of $300 is required (although may be waived in certain situations). We prefer a separate check for the damage deposit.
The damage deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure unless required to cover breakage, damage or excess cleaning.
Regarding PayPal and the Damage Deposit:
For those paying by credit card using PayPal as intermediary, the $300 damage deposit will incur an additional credit card fee of $8.96 in the US and $13.81 for international guests. (The extra credit card fee is paid to PayPal.) We may invoice you separately for the damage deposit (within 60 days of your scheduled departure date) so that we can later refund your damage deposit including credit card fees through PayPal. For international guests we are not responsible for any lost money due to changes in the US$ exchange rate between the time of your payment and the time of your damage deposit refund. Also, for some countries (such as Russia), PayPal imposes a waiting period on refunded money (reportedly up to 30 days). You are subject to the PayPal policies for your country.
Release of Liability
Guests are granted access to Rental Property and many of the amenities that exist within the property. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Guests agree to use any personal and real property belonging to the Homeowner at their own risk and agree to release Homeowner of all liability associated with using such property. Homeowner cannot be held responsible or liable for injuries that occur while Guest is in possession or use of property. Guests agree to further take on any liability associated with a third-party guest visiting the Rental Property or use of the Homeowner's property. Homeowner does not permit use of any of Homeowner's Property other than by the Guest and hereby disclaims any claims of liability associated with the Rental Property or property within and around the rental unit.
> There are ground floor gas BBQ grills, tables and chairs for use by all condo guests. Enjoy this area, but please clean-up when you leave as a courtesy for other guests and owners. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
> Pool hours are 9am to 9pm. - Observe all pool rules posted there. Children using the pool must be supervised by an adult at all times. There is no lifeguard on duty - use at your own RISK.
> A trash dumpster is located in the parking lot. Please bag all trash.
> Observe quiet hours (posted in the condominium lobby area) so as not to disturb other guests and owners who live on-property.
> Hawaii law prohibits smoking within 20 feet of the building. Smoking is not permitted in our unit, on the lanai (patio), or around the pool area.
> Please do not hang anything on the lanai or walkway railings. Cooking is not allowed on the lanai's.
> You are allowed to park one car in the free parking lot conveniently located at the condominium.
