Split-system AC chills the unit, and high-speed WiFi is free. New furnishings and art, a beautifully remodeled kitchen, new high-end King mattresses and luxury linens, and a full compliment of beach gear provide the ultimate setting for your Maui getaway, for up to four guests. The two bedrooms have excellent separation: one has spectacular ocean views, the other a peek of the ocean.
Resort amenities include a beautiful new workout center, ocean front pool, grilling area, free reserved parking and on-site store, restaurant and Yoga center. The property recently underwent a grand-scale remodel, and it is the pinnacle vacation property on Maui's sun-drenched South Shore.
Walk off the elevator to the sand, and you can walk the beach for several miles, past Wailea's resorts (and restaurants) to the famed Wailea Beach path. The property is located at the extreme South end of Kihei, at Wailea's edge.
The kitchen has been properly equipped to prepare and serve your private Maui feast, with all the requisite small appliances, cook ware, and serving implements. We've also included all the beach gear you'll need, including beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, and boogie boards.
The property is also unique in that your condo features a "lock-off," a separate exterior door entrance for the second bedroom. That bedroom also features a mini-fridge, writing desk, and 32" flat screen, as well as a full en-suite layout with shower and tub.

Full payment is due 60 days prior to arrival and will be automatically charged to your credit card on file.
Bookings cancelled at least 60 days before the start of stay will receive a 100% refund.
Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of stay will receive a 50% refund.
If the reservation is cancelled within 29 days of arrival, there shall be no refund unless the property is re-rented during the full period of the reservation. If the property is re-rented, a pro-rated refund will be issued based on the nights that are re-rented.
Rates are displayed in US Dollars. A 30% deposit is required at booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. We accept payments by Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
This is a deposit hold of $500 collected from the guest to cover possible damage to the property. It is fully refunded within 5 business days if there are no damages. We inventory and inspect the property before and after every stay.The guest will be charged for missing items, excessive cleaning, violations of the house rules, and any damage done to the property beyond normal wear and tear.
Release of Liability
Guests are granted access to Rental Property and many of amenities that exist within the property. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Guests agree to use any personal and real property belonging to the Homeowner at their own risk and agree to release Homeowner of all liability associated with using such property. Homeowner cannot be held responsible or liable for injuries that occur while Guest is in possession or use of property. Guests agree to further to take on any liability associated with a third-party guest visiting the Rental Property or use of the Homeowner's property. Homeowner does not permit use of any of Homeowner's Property other than by the Guest and hereby disclaims any claims of liability associated with the Rental Property or property within and around the rental unit.
Parking is permitted in the designated spaces painted white. You will be assigned a parking and issued a permit upon your arrival. Please always keep your permit on a dash board. One car can be parked in the garage. Additional two cars can be parked outside.
The locked closet contains owners' personal items. Please be respectful.
Local calls are free. Please use your calling card or credit card for long distance calls.
Roaches are a common problem in the tropics. Please keep the kitchen clean from bread crumbs and food spills. Dispose of all trash at least every day.
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. Please be respectful of others. No loud parties, no music outside after 10 pm.
No pets allowed.
Smoking is not permitted inside the unit or on the lanai. Smoking is permitted outside in the designated areas only.
Check the furniture, closets and washer/dryer for you personal belongings. Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the washing cycle. All furniture should be in the same place as it was on your arrival. Turn down all lights and the air conditioner. Lock all windows and doors. Return the keys to the lobby.

Summary: Kevin's unit 410 certainly has that "wow" factor as you walk through the entry door to the rear slider windows and take in that direct beach/ocean view that is going to be allllll yours throughout your stay at the Mana Kai. You know right away that you've made a good choice by booking this unit, and the communications with Kevin and Todd prior to checking in made the "pre-game" process seamless and pleasant.
The Details -
First, the location: It's a great location. This unit is technically in Kihei, but it is at the extreme south end of Kihei, about 2 blocks from the beginning of the upscale Wailea addresses. It is direct beach/ocean front, and the beach is Keawakapu, one of the better beaches on Maui. We'd start each morning with a 1 mile beach walk until we hit the boardwalk of the Wailea resorts. At that point, you can walk another 1.5 miles if you'd like before turning around at the Fairmont Kea Lani. Or not. The vibe in Kihei, the 3 mile stretch to the north, reminded me of Santa Cruz, Ca., more of a 70's laid back setting, with a LOT of dining options generally in the $-$$ range with a couple of $$$'s in the mix.
The Resort/Unit: This unit was built in the 70's, and I knew that before I booked it. So you will notice some artifacts of that period in the architecture of the resort/rooms. Some things can never be updated (8-foot ceilings), some can in theory but the resort hasn't done it yet (single-paned windows/sliders), and others kind of grow on you (block walls on the lanai...wife loved how "secluded" it made her feel). The interior space has been upgraded by the owner where it counts, such as granite in the kitchen/bath and a really nice modern AC unit. The kitchen was very well stocked, it was turn-key.
We liked the location of the unit, it's east-west orientation with direct southern view of Keawakapu Beach, the fact that we could go "upscale" or "low-key" within 2 miles south or north, and the morning walks and evening sunsets. To take a quote from "The Terminator"...I'll be back!!

Great beachfront unit!
Just steps away from the beach with a million dollar view! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, watching sunsets on the lawn, evenings on the lanai, and morning walks on the beach. Hope to come back someday soon! Thank you Kevin & Todd.
