Enjoy sunsets on the ocean horizon in our two-bedroom, two-bathroom, oceanfront condo at Kalepolepo Beach Park. This non-smoking condo is located in Menehune Shores in north Kihei. New air conditioning in the living room was installed in 2017 (no a/c in bedrooms). The condo is an excellent choice for families, couples, or a small group of friends. There is a queen bed in each bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room with an extra thick mattress. The unit has been completely remodeled and the owners add and replace items every year to keep it up-to-date. It has fast and free wifi, a washer and dryer, and two flat-screen TVs with digital cable. The kitchen is fully equipped for easy meal preparation and all linens are provided, including beach towels. There's a closet full of beach chairs, shade umbrellas, pool toys, coolers, boogie boards, reef shoes, and more for your outdoor fun. Starter amounts of toilet paper, paper towels, and soap are provided. Once the complimentary products have been used up, it is the guests' responsibility to purchase needed items. MENEHUNE SHORES is a peaceful, immaculately tended, oceanfront complex located on the beach in Kihei, a twenty minute drive from the Kahului airport. Shopping, surfing and excursion opportunities are just minutes away. Our third-floor lanai overlooks the pool, the ocean, and park-like grounds with views to West Maui and the island of Lanai. Our condo does not look out at other buildings or a parking lot like many other complexes, just the beautiful blues and greens of nature. The solar-heated oceanfront pool, barbecue grills, and shuffleboard are located next to a mellow beachfront park which is perfect for children. More grills and tables are located on the rooftop deck which provides fabulous 360-degree views of Maui, including Molokini Crater, Lanai and Kaho’olawe islands, and Haleakala Volcano. Protected swimming at the King’s Pond right in front of Menehune Shores is a plus for visitors who want shallow ocean swimming without strong currents or large surf. Bring your binoculars because humpback whales can often be seen from the lanai starting in December through April, and the National Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary headquarters is right next door.

Rates are based on 4-person occupancy. Hawaii Occupancy Tax, Maui County tax, and any fees are separate - refer to quote for exact numbers. No Smoking in the condo or on lanai (there is a smoking area available outside on the property). Pets are NOT allowed per HOA rules. A signed rental agreement and copy of photo ID required to complete reservation. Seven-night minimum during Christmas/New Year's weeks unless reservation is filling a gap in calendar. No events or parties.
A cancellation notice must be received in writing. There are no refunds for cancellations less than 60 days prior to arrival. For cancellations on or after arrival date all funds are forfeited. Early departure does not warrant any refunds. Travel insurance is advised.
Rates are displayed in US Dollars. $400 refundable damage/security deposit is required to reserve. Balance is due 60 days prior to check-in. Payments by personal checks or money orders are preferred to avoid fees. Paypal/credit card payments are accepted (guest pays incurred fees), along with Zelle and Venmo transfers.
This is a payment of $400 collected from the guest to cover possible damage to the property. It is fully refunded within 14 business days if there are no damages. We inventory and inspect the property before and after every stay. The guest will be charged for missing items, excessive cleaning, violations of the house rules, and any damage done to the property beyond normal wear and tear.
Release of Liability
Guests are granted access to Rental Property and many of amenities that exist within the property. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Guests agree to use any personal and real property belonging to the Homeowner at their own risk and agree to release Homeowner of all liability associated with using such property. Homeowner cannot be held responsible or liable for injuries that occur while Guest is in possession or use of property. Guests agree to further to take on any liability associated with a third-party guest visiting the Rental Property or use of the Homeowner's property. Homeowner does not permit use of any of Homeowner's Property other than by the Guest and hereby disclaims any claims of liability associated with the Rental Property or property within and around the rental unit.
Check-in time is 4 PM or later. Check-out time is 11 AM or earlier. NO early check-ins or late check-outs, unless prearranged with the owner BEFORE your arrival. Maximum occupancy: 5 guests. NO SMOKING is permitted in or around the unit, including lanai. NO PETS are permitted. Violation will result in the loss of your security deposit.
Free parking for one vehicle is available in the parking lot. Upon your arrival you will register your vehicle and get a parking permit at the HOA office. Additional vehicles must use street parking in neighborhood.
Please use the A/C sparingly and intermittently to help keep costs down.
The locked closet next to the guest bathroom contains the owners' personal items. Please be respectful.
Roaches are a common problem in the tropics. Please keep the kitchen clean from bread crumbs, food spills, boxes and paper bags. Dispose of all trash and recyclables every day. A trash chute for bagged household trash is conveniently located down the hall.
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. Please be respectful of others. No loud parties, no music outside after 10 pm.
No pets allowed.
Smoking is not permitted inside the unit or on the lanai. Smoking is permitted outside in the designated area only (bench by flag poles in parking lot).
Check the furniture, closets and washer/dryer for you personal belongings. Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the wash cycle. All furniture should be in the same place as it was upon your arrival. Turn off lights and the air conditioner. Lock all windows and doors. Return the keys to the wall hooks.

Great Location and Condo
We loved the condo and property. It was a perfect central location to the entire island. The pool and ocean with break wall was perfect for wading and relaxing. Seeing the sea turtles each morning and throughout the day was a pleasant surprise.
